Emoji-themed birthday party

Last year, we had the opportunity to decorate a child’s first birthday party. We came up with an emoji theme for the decor because it was bright and fun for the young kids who would be the main guests at the party.

As the guests walked in, they were directed to the various sections of the venue using handwritten signage that we made on blackboards, to bring in a homey, welcoming feel.

We made use of yellow lanterns and bunting in yellow and red-and-white for the main tent. We also added the lanterns to the small food tent.

We decorated the white fabric-dressed chairs with yellow paper flower pom-poms which also served as centrepieces on some of the tables.

Our favorite part of the setup was the assortment of emoji helium balloons. They really brought out the theme perfectly and were a complete hit with the little guests too.

We used the balloons as centrepieces on the tables, together with glasses full of colorful candy.

No party is complete without a photo booth for creating timeless memories! We used emoji faces, a banner and some fun photo props for a fun photo session booth backed by the green fence.

Right next to it, we placed the party treats for each of our kiddie guests to take home.

It turned out great and really set the stage for our next event…which we will be talking about soon…so stay tuned!

🙂
